us so special?
We take pride in the unique focus we have on our Lived Experience within the NDIS.
Each and every person involved with My Ability Australia is a person with a ‘lived experience’ of a disability.
We are a husband, wife, partner, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, friend, or person who either has a disability or lives with someone with a disability in some form or another.
Most importantly, we understand the frustration of not getting the required supports. We know what you are going through…
…because we’ve been there ourselves.
You can count on our lived experience to help process forms, apply for funding and get you the support you need.
As people with a lived experience in the disability sector, we know only too well why it is so important for an organisation to provide excellent service and above all advocacy in the disability sector. We believe everyone should have the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions, have greater control and better choices.
My Ability Australia has a wealth of personal experience dealing with support groups on a daily basis. We know how to help you get the support and funding you need from the new NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme).

The concept of MyAbility Australia was borne from the need to help everyday people who require financial and practical support, guidance and care from the disability sector thus ensuring better quality and a more fulfilling life that their current level of support.
We found that our formative years of dealing, on a regular or daily level with support services, meant that over time we got to know the jargon. We knew which agencies to contact, who provided what service, and more importantly, how to get things done.
